I had used another Flea Treatment for many years and it worked great until the last few years. I asked a dog sitter I had if they could recommend something else as what I was using didn't seem to work any more.
Advantage solved my problem. It works great.

This medicine is good for protection against fleas, but it doesn't have tic medicine. There are thousands of species of tics out there - it is not a good idea to leave your animal unprotected. There are many types of tics out there that will kill your family pet.

I highly recommend Advantage. We had always used Advantage, but we bought Frontline b/c that's all the vet had at that time. Unfortunately, we could tell the difference very soon afterward. I actually purchased this product from Amazon after my veterinarian's office stopped selling Advantage and instead sells K9 Advantix now. Because I thought perhaps Advantage had changed the look of the box, I tried the K9 Advantix on my pug for about 3 months (I also used the one for cats on my cat for 2 months).
