I was looking for something that would do a good job of making hard boiled eggs in the microwave, and this does exactly that. Because my microwave is a little slower on cooking than its wattage would suggest, I had to experiement a bit to get the right cooking time (i.e., a minute longer than the maximum suggested), but now that's established, I'm enjoying deviled eggs and egg salad sandwiches whenever I want them.

This is an amazingly simple but effective product. Likewise, I will keep my review simple and hopefully effective. I gave this product 5 stars due to its: effectiveness, consistency, ease of use.

Effectiveness: yes, it cooks eggs the way you like them. I had to experiment a little bit because my microwave is 900 watts. For my microwave, 2 eggs at 4 minutes is for soft. 3 eggs is 5 minutes. I love this egg boiler. It's so convenient to cook eggs with, and not have to bother with pots and boiling water. It takes a little experimentation, though. I first saw this item on a science cooking website and was so happy that I was able to find it for sale on Amazon.com. It's a great little item for the kitchen.
