Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Not ideal
just got it and had a chance to use it

its a good tool to tell you that there is fish out there but i would assume the negatives would be:

1) doesnt tell you where exactly the fish is
2) if its a small or a big one
3) at which depth is the fish
4) some times it just wont synchronize with the watch and keeps giving you waiting for signal

I would say go for a more professional one but if its just the knowledge that there is fish out there then ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It's very simple, and quite accurate ...
While not in use for fishing, I wanted to understand their roles very well. Bring me the manual to go in knowing apparatus, but did not even missing. As to the precise opposite of my fishing club, there is a sunken buoy, I could see the buoy and compare the depth .... exact!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Beginner's Luck
This nifty little gadget won't win you the bass tournament, but for a casual fisherman, it works really well. Watch is comfortable, and so far has been pretty accurate. Thanks Humminbird.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Just as described, simple to use but limited range
I bought this for my husband for his birthday and was pleased with the results. It's pretty obvious that the fish need to be very close, nearly right underneath for the sensor to pick them up. However, it really made fishing more interesting and worked great as a "bobber" or cork. My husband did say that it was amazing how well it worked for the money but that it was a little strange to look at his watch while fishing. Maybe the version of this product that straps to the fishing pole might be worth considering.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Eats Batteries!
Well I've used this thing. As a depth finder it works well. As a fish finder I found it useless. It confuses weeds with fish, and as a test I used the finder as a bobber (you can do that!) with a worm hanging about six feet below it. A fish was yanking on the line, but the finder never saw a thing!

The batteries are expensive and it will burn through one in a day of fishing.

I'm going to give the Norcross Hawkeye FF3355P a try, see if it works any better.
