The sportscaster is a great value. The price is great, and it is a real quality product. The reception is superb on mine. I have read other reviews where people have said the mount doesn't hold it well. But I have never had trouble with mine. My sportscaster has never slipped out of the mount, and the suction cups have always held as well. It may sound cheap but it is a nice simple way to install it in your car. I had one of these in my wife's SUV. I wanted to upgrade the old XM in my work car. This one was hard to find. It works fine, however the price has gone up a little. I paid about $25 for my wife's in 2007.

I have owned the sportcaster for about a year and use it both in the car and home. I use the suction cup mount on the car windshield and it has never slipped off. The ease of use and signal is better than my stolen audiovox.
The remote is simple enough to setup without directions and very easy to use. Try one and I think you'll be happy with the unit.

Small size. The unit and its remote fit into a cup holder.My Toyota Camry has an AUX jack and extra power plug, just made for this type of add-on.
Great performance. Except for signal loss under tall trees, tunnels and tall buildings, XM is great.

Excellent for cruising.

We have an xm roady 2 and it works great but like most of the other more expensive receivers out there, it is bulky and screams out "I am a dashboard add on hog". We love this sportcaster thingie as it is sleek and easy to use in the car (we like simple and easy things when driving) It looks more integrated to the car. It has more frequencies to set to your car radio,and the signal from it is so strong that you should'nt have any reception from existing stations local or distant.very clear transmitter... ...
